Food & Wine, Liquid Nitro Truffle, & a Fabulous Sunday Brunch!

Wow, wow, wow!  So these last three months really got away from me!  What happened to my determination to make sure I updated this blog in a timely fashion?  Life, again, or my type A personality that if  I can't write an amazing, eye catching, super interesting post, I'm not posting anything?  Ugh.  Anyway, no time like the present, right?

So it seems the last time I posted I was telling you all about our upcoming Disney World trip.  It was wonderful!  Great weather, & fun times.  My husband ran his first 1/2 marathon, the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and he did it in a great time for him.  We attended the last Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party of the 2016 season, and the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, both held in the Magic Kingdom on select nights.  I really enjoy those two events, but I do believe the Halloween party is my fav.  I'm not a parade person, but I love the Boo To You Halloween parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular show (Hocus Pocus is one of my very favorite movies of all time), and the Hallowishes fireworks.  Honestly, I think it's worth every penny.

We also consumed a lot of delicious food at Epcot's Food & Wine Festival.  One of my favorite items was the, tah dah...
Liquid Nitro Chocolate-Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel Sauce

Oh my gosh, this was soooo good, and I'm not even a sweets person!  I actually had two of these on our trip.  If you get to go to the F&W Festival this year, you can find it at...

Another first for us was the "Sunday Brunch at the Top" at the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  This was by no means a frugal thing to do, but again, was so worth every penny.  My husband & I loved the food selections, the Bloody Mary bar was OMGosh!, and, we got to spend time with a friend of mine who lives in Jerusalem, Israel, and was visiting Disney World the same time as Harry & I.  Unbeknownst to either of us, we each booked a dining reservation here, and they were an hour apart.  We tried to change our reservations to include all of us, but this is such a popular event that there were no more reservations to come by, so my friend, DeeDee agreed to arrive early, at the time of our reservation, & the hostess graciously seated us together! Here are some pics of the brunch...

My awesomely delicious Bloody Mary!

We had a view of Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom!
