Many many moons ago, Almost 7 1/2 years ago to be exact, I was a brand new wanna-be quilter. I roamed quilting blogs, and happened upon Rachel Griffith's ps i quilt. I also saw that she was doing a quilt along. What's a quilt along, I wondered. Being the adventurous person that I am, I thought, why not? How hard can it be? Famous newbie quilter last words! Suffice it to say that I have finally finished this quilt, 7 1/2 years later! Darn, but matching up those points was hard! There are more mistakes in that quilt than I have fingers (and toes), but I love it all the same. I even made it reversable
I have become a half decent quilter over the years, even doing all my own free-motion machine quilting, and have completed around 7 quilts, including this one. I have two more completed tops that I also started seven years ago, that are just waiting patiently to be finished! I'm sure this is small potatoes compared to many quilters. My excuses for not accomplishing more is that I have about ten or a hundred more other crafty loves that take up quite a bit of time, and I just have a busy life in general. My sewing room closet is filled with the most awesome fabric collections, just waiting to be turned into something wonderful some day. Some day....
